Red Bird Nest for Book Arts and Print
About us
Red Bird Nest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to printmaking and book arts in Houston. Founded on February 12, 2026, our mission is to ensure that these historically rich and vital art forms remain accessible, inclusive, and sustainable for generations to come.
We believe that everyone, regardless of background or financial means, should have the opportunity to engage with printmaking and book arts as a tool for creative expression, education, and community connection.
Through scholarships, subsidized workshops, and community programming, Red Bird Nest removes barriers to participation and supports artists at all stages of their practice.
Our Partnership with Red Bird Press
Red Bird Nest works in close partnership with Red Bird Press, a community print studio in Houston. Together, we create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and artistic growth, with Red Bird Nest focused on expanding access through scholarships and community-supported programming.
Red Bird Press provides the space, tools, and technical resources, while Red Bird Nest focuses on expanding access by helping fund workshops, support participants, and ensure that programming remains open and inclusive.
